Scumbags … I hate software that installs other software with minimal warning. And during the *update* process no less.
Adobe reader asked to update itself, I gave it permission, and a while later McAfee pops up and says that it was installed as part of my recent download (I was just fricken updating!) … and asked permission to continue scanning my PC.
So I said no and instantly uninstalled it.
I use Microsoft Security Essentials, which has worked so far to keep viruses and malware at bay.
Unfortunately, it does not yet detect sleaze-ware
